Item Details
Fully rebuilt single Vanos unit for the M50,S50,M52,S52 engine. Using upgraded teflon seals and anti-rattle kit for flawless operation.
Each unit goes through visual inspection, all ports are sealed before a high pressure degreasing/hot tank.
Next step is to fully disassemble unit check for wear, damage, excessive play. Parts are once more hot tanked & oil passages are blown out with compressed air to clear any moisture from unit.
New bearing (anti-rattle kit) are installed along with new upgraded Teflon o-rings. High performance assembly lube is use through out whole process and piston area is filled with 1oz oil before everything is torqued down.
(note: only late model cores are used for these rebuilds. BMW had issues with burs on the solenoid plunger causing binding or poor VANOS operation. These plungers are also checked for any burs and replaced as necessary.)
Unit is cover with a 1 year unlimited mile warranty.
